4 table spoon of low fat Greek yogurt

salt
1 cucumber
3 tablespoons of low fat yogurt
1 spoon of garlic
1 spoon of mint
salt
One of my hobbies is cooking I just love creating new flavors or recreate old one with my own personal touch! In case you have read my previous blog you will already figure it out that I come from a small island named Cyprus. The island is well known for its beauty, sun, beaches and food. One of the Cypriot nationals favorite fast food is doner! Therefore I am sharing with you guys my own recipe of how to make a Greek chicken doner.
Ingredients
4 large chicken breast
4 table spoon of low fat Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon of paprika
0.5 teaspoon of cumin
1 teaspoon of garlic
salt
First it will require for you to marinate the chicken. The marinade will add flavor to the meat soft and keep it moist during cooking. For the marinade add the yogurt, paprika, cumin, garlic and salt into a bowl stir them until all the ingredients mix together. Then add the chicken. I would recommend to leave the chicken to marinate overnight and use it right the next day. However in case you are as forgetful as me 30 minutes will be fine. Then insert the chicken in an oven tray and let it cook for 30 minutes to 180c. As soon as the chicken is cooked cut it into small pieces can escort it with rice or baked potatoes or pitta bread and tzatziki sauce.
Recommendation: Warm a plain nan bread add the chicken, tzatziki cause, onions, tomatoes and cabbage.
What is tzatziki? Is a Greek traditional dip that can be used with kebabs, donner or with a pitta bread by itself.
Tzatziki recipe:
1 cucumber
3 tablespoons of low fat yogurt
1 spoon of garlic
1 spoon of mint
salt
First cut the cucumber into very small square pieces or grate the cucumber. In case you grate the cucumber you will need to remove all the excess liquid. Then add the yogurt, cucumber, garlic, salt and mint and stir them together!
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do.
