Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is not as easy as it sounds. It requires a lot of effort and most of the times planning ahead. However there are those times that the constant lack of time and those non stop cravings make it harder for you not to dial that fast food number. Most food experts say that food cravings last only for 30 seconds and if you occupied yourself enough eventually you will just forget it. I say no if you want to eat something that you crave really badly then go ahead and eat it but with a smart way. Not only there is an alternative healthier way to satisfy your craving but a more financial sustainable way as well and it doesn't take that much time. After all the most important asset you have is your health and that is your first priority to invest. If your time is limited I suggest you to invest in a rice cooker as it takes 15 minutes to 20 minutes maximum perfect rice without you being stack in the kitchen. If you are a fan of the chinese cuisine like me, then you might be fan of egg fried rice. The below recipe is for 2 servings and it equals 207 calories for 1 cup of rice and it takes approximately 15 minutes maybe less if you have a rice cooker without rice cooker 25 to 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
Light cooking spray
2 cups of white rice (you can use brown rice if you prefer brown)
2 spring onion
2 eggs
1 tablespoon soya sauce
*Optional 0.5 teaspoon butter ( keep in mind that 207 calories include the butter without the butter is 157 calories per 1 cup)
salt and pepper (For pepper I use paprika)
Process:
Stir the eggs in a bowl with some salt. Then use the cooking spray or butter in a frying pan and insert the paprika and soya sauce stir them together and add the eggs, stir until the eggs are cooked. Add the rice and stir until is mixed well together. If you like it a bit more flavorful add 1 extra tablespoon of soya sauce.
